- Rotax V-twin 799.9 cc EFI engine rotax-800
  - Feature 1 This engine is the most powerful in the industry*. The liquid-cooled, single overhead cam power plant has four valves per cylinder, a 46mm throttle body and two VDO Siemens‡ fuel injectors. The EFI system keeps the 800R engine's performance at its peak and a progressive throttle ensures power is manageable whether in precise rock crawling or opening it up on the straights.
- RS-type TTI independent rear suspension TTIrear-susp
  - With TTI, the pivot points are ahead of the wheels, and the rear wheels pivot up and down, keeping the tread on the ground to improve traction and handling. Since TTI only moves up and down and never side to side, the vehicle moves only in the direction you point it.
- RS-type double A-arm front suspension DoubleAfront-susp
  - Developed in collaboration with Can-Am pro racers, the RS-type double A-arm front suspension of the Renegade was designed with the track and trail in mind. The RS-type dive-control geometry provides critical feedback to the rider, and its 8.5 inches (216 mm) of long travel absorbs the high impacts of intense riding.

- Dual-mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS) steering
  - feature1 Dynamic Power Steering (DPS) is not only speed sensitive, but it has two rider-selectable modes depending on rider preference. The two on-the-fly modes (Min and Max), mean the rider can choose the amount of assist for the ultimate in power steering comfort and performance. Advanced DPS technology ensures more feedback, yet less kickback through the handlebars.

  - feature1 All DPS-equipped models have the Visco-Lok QE calibration up front, which has all the features and benefits of the standard Visco-Lok differential, but with a even quicker engagement point. This differential, unlike some competitors' differentials, does not have a speed limiter.
