Rotax V-Twin 499,6cc engine rotax800
This powerful engine is liquid cooled with SOHC with 4 valves per cylinder and features 2 injectors for a precise fuel delivery and throttle response.
TTI independent rear suspension TTIrear-susp
With TTI, the pivot points are ahead of the wheels, the rear wheels pivot up and down, keeping the tread on the ground to improve traction and handling. Since TTI only moves up and down and never side-to-side like a traditional suspension, the vehicle moves only in the direction you point it.
Visco-Lok† 4x4 front differential visco-lok
Redesigned in 2008 for quicker engagement, the Visco-Lok† constantly monitors front wheel speed and, if it detects one wheel spinning faster than its mate, it progressively sends more power to the wheel with the better traction. And it does it all without the rider having to lift a finger.

Center skid plate SkidPlate
New center skid plate made of 5 mm-thick impact- and scratch-resistant injection-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Offers better frame protection for riding in rough terrain.
MAX chassis chassis
Because the frame is longer both riders are sitting in front of the rear axle which results in a more stable ride when carrying a passenger.
Convertible rack/seat system 1-2up
Can-Am CRS allows the Outlander MAX to go from one-up to two-up in a matter of seconds. In one-up mode, the rack extension/totable storage box offers a large tie-down area, plus a receptacle big enough for tools, equipment or lunch. Convert your MAX to two-up mode and you and your passenger will be ready for whatever lies ahead. One rider or two? The choice is yours, every time you get on.
